How to use Welcome Communication
Welcome Communication lets you create and send news, operational notices and announcements to all users in the building.
Creating and publishing a news post
Log in to app.welcomeworkdays.com as an administrator.
Go to News in the menu.
Click Create new.
Write a title and content. You can add images and format the text.
Select the message type:
Operational notice: For important alerts everyone must see (e.g. elevator maintenance, fire drill). Sent regardless of consent.
News/Marketing: For general information and offers. Only sent to users who have given consent.
Select recipients:
All users in the building
Administrators only
Selected companies
Select notification channel: Email, SMS, or publish in the portal only.
You can save as draft to finish later, or click Publish to send immediately.
Adding an English translation
You can write content in Norwegian and add an optional English translation. An AI-powered translation feature is available to simplify this. Users automatically see the content in their preferred language.
Operational notices vs. marketing
It's important to choose the correct type:
Operational notices are sent to everyone regardless of consent, because they relate to safety and operations. Examples: elevator shutdown, water leak, power outage, fire drill.
News and marketing require user consent. Examples: events, new services, offers from vendors.
Misusing operational notices for marketing can lead to user complaints and loss of trust in the system.
See who has read the news
After publishing, you can view statistics for the post, including how many people have opened and read it (the "Read by" feature).
