About the Welcome platform

This article is for all users who want to know more about the Welcome Workdays platform and what it can do

The Welcome platform (hereafter referred to as Welcome) is a Software as a Service (SaaS) IT platform designed to serve three main purposes:

  1. To make property management straightforward for property managers. An example would be managing tenancy agreements in a building.

  2. To make it easy for tenants to manage their own tenancy arrangements. A tenant is a company that rents premises from a property manager. An example would be managing employees' access to the premises.

  3. To give users access to all digital resources in the building in one place. A user is typically an employee of a tenant. Examples of resources include digital access and meeting room booking.

User interfaces

For end users

Welcome has the following user interfaces available for end users:

  1. Admin — For managing employees, access, and features for a company's staff. This is handled by the CompanyAdmin role. Users with the Receptionist role can also manage visitors to the company.

  2. Portal — For all end users, where most services and features within a given building are made available.

  3. Visit — For visitors to a company or users within a building.

For administrators

Welcome has the following user interfaces available for administrators:

  • System — For those with the SystemAdmin role, where buildings are set up within the solution.

  • RealEstate — For those with the RealEstateAdmin role, where companies and their associated access are configured.

Other interfaces

In addition, Welcome makes information available to other interfaces — such as information screens within a building — depending on which services and features are available in that building.

Roles

Welcome has the following main roles and sub-roles available in the solution:

  • SystemAdmin sets up and configures buildings. This role is the top-level administrator of the solution.
