How to fulfil a physical access card order

This article is for all building administrators who want to learn more about how to receive and fulfil an access card request in buildings without integration between Welcome and the access control system.

As a building administrator, you are sometimes responsible for receiving orders for new access cards from tenants. This guide explains how the process works in Welcome Workdays and how to complete it.

  1. It starts with you receiving an email to your registered user that a new access card has been ordered - example of such an email:

  2. Click the blue button to log in to the building.

    1. Inside Welcome, under the "Building" menu, you will see a section called "Access cards".

    2. Go there to view the active requests.

  3. Here you will find information about which user, including username (email) and company, the card is to be produced for.

  4. Copy the email, name, and company into the access control system.

  5. Set the PIN code in the access control system.

  6. When the job is done in the access control system, enter the card number and PIN code (4 digits) into Welcome. You also enter a collection message to the tenant (user) with information about where the card can be collected.

If you choose to use the standard collection message, you do not need to enter anything.

The process is then complete and the employee will receive an email like this:
