How to choose the right equipment and hardware for Welcome Visit

This article is for all building administrators who want to know more about recommended hardware for visitor registration

For an optimal experience with Welcome Visit visitor registration, we recommend specific iPad models and stands that ensure a secure and stable setup. In addition, permanent power connectivity should be available for the iPad.

Recommended iPad model:

  • iPad 10.9-inch display, Wi-Fi, 64 GB – SilverThis model provides enough performance to run the Welcome Visit application in Kiosk mode without being oversized. Neither iPad Pro nor iPad Air is necessary for this straightforward application.

Recommended stands:

  1. Bouncepad Original Counter 60

A secure, freestanding tablet and iPad stand designed ergonomically for easy interaction when placed on a bar counter, table, or bar-height desk.

    • The solid steel base provides both stability and portability, ideal for installations where drilling into the counter is not possible.

    • Lockable enclosure that keeps the iPad secure and conceals the power cable.

    • Can be mounted in both portrait and landscape mode, depending on the content.

    • Can be secured with a reinforced cable for additional security (not included).

  2. Bouncepad Original Swivel Desk

A secure, rotating stand designed for easy interaction when mounted on a counter, table, or desk. Lockable enclosure that keeps the iPad secure and conceals the power cable. Perfect for screen sharing and device protection.

  3. Bouncepad Original Desk

A low-profile stand designed for easy interaction and digital signage. Can be set up in both portrait and landscape mode, and features a lockable enclosure for security. Ideal for visitor registration and information displays.

  4. Bouncepad Original Branch + Tilt Adaptor

A secure wall mount for tablets and iPads that extends from the wall at an ideal angle for user interaction. With the additional Tilt Adaptor, the user can adjust the viewing angle by 50° (plus or minus 25° from the centre point) to prevent screen glare in bright areas.

Pro tips

  1. Select "Covered Front Camera and Home Button": This option covers the front camera and home button (which is not present on this iPad model), providing additional security.

  2. Order the same key type for all stands within the same organisation, plus spare keys. Replacement lock cylinders can be difficult to source later.

  3. Angled power cable: We recommend ordering an angled power cable together with the stand, as Apple's standard OEM cable does not fit in the kiosk enclosure. Use a USB-C to USB-C cable so that Apple's included USB charger can be used. For example this one from Kjell (90° USB-C Angle Adapter).
