How to pay with a QR code in the restaurant
When you pay for lunch in the restaurant, you use your personal QR code in your smartphone wallet (Apple/Google Wallet) or in the browser (app.welcomeworkdays.com). The payment is registered directly against your lunch deal and deducted from your employer's agreement with the restaurant.
Step by step
Open app.welcomeworkdays.com in your browser
Navigate to your QR code
In buildings with multiple lunch options: select your preferred lunch on the screen in the canteen before scanning your QR code
Show the QR code to the restaurant staff or hold it up to the scanner
You will receive a confirmation, and a receipt is sent to your phone
Done — your lunch deal for the day has been registered
Add your QR code to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
You can add your QR code to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet so you can pay without opening the app:
1. Log in to app.welcomeworkdays.com.
2. Go to Me
3. Go to Lunch
4. Click Add to wallet
5. Scan the QR code using your smartphone shown on screen
The code will then be available directly from your wallet.
Buildings with multiple lunch options
Some buildings have more than one lunch supplier or price tier available. In these buildings, you must select the correct option in the app before showing your QR code. Selecting the wrong option may result in the payment being registered against the wrong deal. If you are unsure which option applies to you, contact your company
administrator.
What happens to the payment?
The payment is transferred directly to the restaurant's bank account. Welcome facilitates the transaction, but the money never passes through us. The transaction is
registered the moment the QR code is scanned and a receipt is sent immediately to your phone.
QR code not working?
If the code is not accepted at the restaurant:
Check that you have the correct screen open in the app — it should be the QR code, not another page
Make sure your screen brightness is high enough for the scanner to read the code
Try refreshing the app and retrieving the code again
Remember the code can only be used once per day — if it has already been used, it will be rejected

Download and print off QR Code
You can download your QR code using the download button next to it, then print it and use it as normal.
